The role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a great team of chemists and lab technicians working together collaboratively to provide first class support to our internal and external customers.
The full-time position, reporting to the Director of Technology, will be responsible for managing the analytical services workflow as well as product development and troubleshooting. Using a consultative approach, you will build relationships with co-workers providing guidance to the team where required as well as using your own strong analytical skills.
You will also be required to partake in laboratory housekeeping, maintenance and quality matters, including calibration of equipment and documentation review.
The modern laboratory is in Braeside with easy access from major arterials and onsite parking.
About You
- Bachelor in Science (with Chemistry major)
- 7 years-plus industry experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint/Word.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Experience interacting directly with customers to understand needs.
- Creative critical thinking skills.
- Water treatment experience.
- Product development experience.
- Sound knowledge of surfactant chemistry and application.
- Experience in chemistry application, monitoring, and control systems.
