About the Role:
The Ancillary Assistant will be responsible for maintaining our residential Nursing Home in a clean and organised manner, ensuring all hygiene standards are met. The role involves carefully and punctually handling the laundering of bed linens and residents’ laundry.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience working with elderly
- At least 1 year experience in similar cleaning roles
- Genuine care and respect for the elderly clients we serve
- Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- General understanding of requirements relating to cleaning, infection control and hazardous materials.
- General understanding of Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
- Reliability and flexibility to work for casual shift hours over a 7 day period
- Covid-19 and Flu Vaccinations and ongoing boosters are a requirement
- National Police Clearance (No more than 2 years old)
- Experience in similar cleaning roles
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
