Just Paws Pty Ltd trade as Groomer Haz It, located in Woodend VIC, is run by a master level, internationally qualified groomer with over a decade of experience.
Now our company is looking for a Full time Animal Attendant to join our store in Woodend! We are looking for a dynamic motivated team player that has sound emotional maturity with proven experience for this position.
This role provides strong customer service and care for the animals at our Woodend location.
Daily tasks:
- Provides training and behavioural adjustment to day care and grooming dogs including verbal and non-verbal commands and identifying any behavioural issues and discussing with owner.
- Exercises and entertains day care dogs including walking, playtime and supervising quiet time.
- Developing suitable training plans for dogs and documenting their progress.
- Teaching dogs to obey basic commands using various training techniques that are best suited to each dog’s personality and attributes.
- Implementing appropriate training programs to address and resolve problem areas, including aggression, separation anxiety, hyperactivity, and biting.
- Ensuring that the training areas are clean and tidy.
- Teaching clients appropriate training methods to enforce and maintain behaviors and skills learned by their dogs during training sessions.
- Attends to all Spa grooming activities, and supports daily grooming and day care operations.
- Welcomes clients and owners.
- Consults and finds solutions to customise grooming services according to the client’s needs.
- Provides grooming expertise and knowledge to deliver core grooming services,
- Processes Spa telephone bookings as required.
- Upholds OH&S standards according to company standards.
- Maintain detailed customer files including health records, previous services, behaviour and training level.
- Ensure all areas of day care and grooming is clean at all times using disinfectant – including crates and outdoor areas.
- Supports events and promotions including local grooming competitions and dog’s day out.
- Maintain health and safety, security, and emergency systems, and customer awareness, according to company policy and relevant law as directed.
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience;
- Clipping skillset;
- Strong interpersonal communication skills;
- A desire to deliver customer experience excellence;
- Relevant certificate might requires;
- Creative Grooming certifications are desirable but not essential.
Excellent salary: $70,000 - $80,000 + Super
