About the Role:
- River 949 offers the successful applicant an enviable lifestyle in the heart of Southeast Queensland, we are the number one station in one of the fastest growing areas in Australia. There’s easy access to Brisbane and some of the country’s most picturesque landscapes and coastlines.
- Based in our Ipswich studios, you will be responsible for creating and programming unique and compelling music content as well as hosting a high-profile daytime shift.
- You will work closely with the promotions and sales teams for client function/promotional appearances including outside broadcasts and pop ups.
- You will work closely with the River 949 Content Director, helping to execute the Music Strategy and ensure the continued success of the station.
- We're looking for on air execution that stands out! Someone who can easily connect with our 35- to 54-year-old target demographic, loves our local area and lives and breathes music.
- Previous success within a Music Directors role in a metro or large regional market.
- Significant on-air experience.
- A distinctive on-air style that complements River 949.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to engage River’s target audience.
- Great time management, the ability to work well under pressure.
- A genuine passion for the industry and professional approach to the role.
- Experience with Zetta and G-Selector is preferred.
