The Role Reporting to the Inspections Lead / Operations Manager, your role as an API 653 Inspector is part of our inspection team – a team that is experiencing rapid growth. This role is key to the ongoing asset integrity inspection services provided to one of our key clients. This role will be managed from our Riverview office in QLD.
Key Responsibilities: To lead tank inspection projects, including: The preparation of a Scope of Work, Recommending methods of inspection and testing, and coordinating NDT activities required for each tank inspection. Carrying out work to the highest safety and quality standards.
Monitor the quality of the work and reporting for projects. Provide technical leadership for methods as outlined above. Keep abreast of new technologies and develop enhancements to our existing range of services where appropriate.
Completion of inspection and testing in accordance with the codes and procedure requirements. Support and provide accurate and prompt reporting, identifying any necessary remedial work required before the equipment is placed into service or at the next equipment inspection or service. Offer improvements through the identification of opportunities for better ways of delivering our services.
The successful applicant will ideally have: API653 Certified Tank Inspector ISO 9712 UT1 UT2, API510, API570, ACIP, MFL (highly desirable) Detailed knowledge of API650 and API653 Experience with tank inspection NDT methods, including - UT, MPI, SLOFEC, MFL, PAUT. Sound knowledge of relevant materials, manufacturing processes and service conditions.
