Apparel and Merchandise Coordinator Role
We are looking for a passionate and talented Apparel and Merchandise Coordinator to join our team. Reporting into the Marketing Manager, this role works collaboratively across the B2B and E-Commerce team to deliver quality, unique and trending merchandise to our customers and retail partners.
About the role
As our Apparel and Merchandise Coordinator you will:
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager on ‘gift with purchase’ and apparel development including design conceptualisation.
- Report weekly on Apparel and Merchandise movements as well as bring new ideas to further improve the EHPlabs Apparel and Merchandise line.
- Overseeing the NPD calendar and coordinating ‘gift with purchase’ and/or merchandise to assist with new product launches (where applicable and needed).
- Work closely with our creative designers on the look and feel of all ‘gift with purchase’ and Merchandise.
- Building strong relationships with existing suppliers in Australia and overseas as well as new suppliers.
- You must be able to negotiate cost and pricing with suppliers and manufacturers in order to hit the targeted margins provided.
- Reviewing and providing feedback on all merchandise and ‘gift with purchase’ items in the sampling stage and pre-production stage.
- You must have fantastic attention to detail skills in order ensure the quality of all Apparel and Merchandise items are of high quality and low cost.
- Quality control and problem solving skills are essential for this role.
- Working with the fulfilment team on all inbounding and shipping details to ensure smooth sailings once the items leave the manufacturers.
- Willingness to launch and streamline new and existing procedures and systems.
About you
- Hands-on experience dealing directly with offshore production factories.
- Extensive problem solving skills are essential.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably within the fitness industry.
- Sound knowledge of the fashion and fabric industry.
- Sound understanding of graphic design, colours, fabrics, trim and fit.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across different teams.
- Ability to build key working relationships and strong negotiation skills.
- Excellent computer skills including Adobe Creative (Illustrator and In-Design is ideal however not essential).
- Proficient to intermediate skills in Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal to team members at all levels.
- Highly organised, detailed and focused approach to work and deadlines.
