  • Application Development and Support Analyst
  • WIB Technology, GTS and Digital
  • Can be located in Hobart TAS, Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane
  • Required to attend the office up to 3 times a week
We're opening this exciting opportunity within Global Transaction Services team, and we are looking for a specialist, who will be assisting in providing application maintenance and Support to enable system availability, reliability, and achievement of service level requirements. If you have knowledge/experience in supporting business applications in a Windows server environment and desire to learn the technical world of payment transfers - we're looking for you!How will I help?You will assist with system enhancement, including the implementation of business recovery, disaster recovery, and continuity plans, ensuring system availability, reliability, stability, currency, and recoverability of applications to meet agreed service levels
  • Resolve incidents and problems to ensure systems operate as required.
  • Provide immediate application support during service disruptions or issues, ensuring service availability and meeting service level requirements.
  • Develop and maintain operational and system documentation to enable effective maintenance and Support of applications
  • Assist change and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Proactively identify and resolve root causes of application problems and incidents.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other stakeholders
  • Participate in Major Incident and Major Problem reviews
  • Perform application analysis and tuning to maintain optimal performance and capacity requirements
  • Recommend changes to application or it's usage that can potentially reduce cost or improve performance
  • Undertake continuous improvement activities within the team to ensure services are delivered more efficiently and provide support to stakeholders through appropriate Change Management activities.
  • Promote and ensure the use of agreed tools, methodologies and tools.
  • Resolve incidents escalated by Level 2 Support
  • Deploy code fixes to implement corrective actions for identified problems or vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in testing of disaster recovery plans, business continuity, and disaster recovery drills.

  • Proven experience in application support.
  • Experience in a corporate IT environment (preferred).
  • Support experience in a Windows Server environment.
  • Experience with payments processing (preferred).
  • Proficiency in building environments, deploying applications, and managing server operating infrastructures.
  • Must have SQL and PowerShell expertise.
  • Knowledge of SSL certificates and Web Application Firewalls.
