We have an exciting opportunity for an Applications Business Analyst (Junior level) to support the digital services team with projects and application support to achieve successful project outcomes, ensure all support SLA’s are met and to provide exceptional support to our internal customer base.   

The right candidate needs to document IT & digital project requirements, wireframes, design documents and training collateral.  The candidate will also need to provide Level 1 support for business applications and ensure quality customer service is provided in all aspects of the role. 

A Junior Business Analyst's week can include: 

  • Work with project stakeholders to document quality technical and functional requirements for IT & Digital projects. 
  • Create wireframes & technical design documents and present to project stakeholders for acceptance. 
  • Assume responsibility for UAT processes throughout projects. 
  • Support the Digital Services team in Quality Assurance testing.
  • Support the Project Manager in other project tasks as required.
  • Triage application support tickets in Halo ITSM.
  • Provide Level 1 technical support for business applications.
  • Support Level 2 & 3 support staff in troubleshooting and root cause analysis. 
  • Create training collateral for all business applications. 
  • Assume responsibility for Level 1 configuration of business applications. 
  • Support the Digital Service Manager in Asset Management & Procurement processes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in both support and projects. 

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business and/or IT
  • Min. of 3 years’ experience working as an analyst for IT projects
  • Background in technical support and customer service
  • (Preferred) Understanding of IT security and some exposure to federal government IT security requirements eg. Right Fit for Risk
  • (Preferred) Experience in Balsamiq wireframes 
  • (Preferred) Experience with Microsoft suite (SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics CRM)

To be considered you must...

  • Have full working rights in Australia 
  • Have a current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
  • Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:00pm
