Wilmar Sugar & Renewables have an opportunity for an enthusiastic person to train on the Crushing Console station.
This Operator in Training position is more than a job - it is an educational experience and the start of an exciting and rewarding career. You will enjoy hands on training, with a variety of tasks and exposure to some of the challenges that come with producing Raw Sugar. The aim of this seasonal contract is to gain valuable job knowledge and become experienced in our operational teams.
The Crushing Console Operator is responsible for the feeding and crushing stations, which maximise sucrose extraction from cane and minimise moisture content of final bagasse. Role requirements include monitoring of plant and equipment through Citect, from start up to shut down and isolation.
The level associated with this position is reliant upon completion of the relevant Sugar Industry Modules, in conjunction with operating the station without assistance.
This position requires the successful employee to work on a continuous shift roster in conjunction with the factory roster, which operates 24/7 during the crushing season that typically runs from June to December.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following:

- Work safely and look after the safety of others
- Communicate effectively
- Be able to provide regular and accurate feedback to Operations Coordinators on a station performance and quality issues
This role assists in production of quality sugar and processing interactions with the weighbridge, boiler station and evaporators.
The successful applicants will be required to achieve competency in the relevant station specific units. This may require obtaining HRWL tickets.
