Join this exciting and expanding industry and gain your Certificate III in Landscape Construction whilst working with a team providing landscaping services to premium properties located within the inner city!
With the support of qualified tradespeople, you will:
- Assist with the preparation and installation of landscapes, including planting, paving, fencing and retaining walls.
- Learn how to operate and maintain landscaping equipment and machinery.
- Build landscape features with concrete, timber, brick, stone and metal
- Install irrigation and drainage
Apprentices will be exposed to carrying out foundational work, such as laying drainage or installing irrigation systems. Apprentices will also assist tradespeople in reshaping the landscape with slopes or terraces and create special features, such as landscape entry statements, forming concrete features, forming concrete pathways, paving, rock gardens, ornamental gardens and all other aspects of landscape construction. There will also be opportunities to assist in building walls, erect fences and erect structures, such as decks.
This role is very dynamic and ever changing. The ethos on site is to mentor and support new Apprentices.
Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:
- Must have interest and commitment to work in the Landscaping Industry
- Must hold a White Card or able to obtain ASAP
- Hold a current Drivers License and have own reliable transport
- Work Experience within the industry is highly desirable
- Must be physically fit & able to work outdoors
- Be reliable, resilient, motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to take direction
