The Opportunity
PGC Training are seeking applications from enthusiastic, motivated individuals with a great work attitude looking to begin their career as an Electrician. Current apprentices (1st, 2nd or 3rd Year) are encouraged to apply.
Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will work under the guidance of fully licensed electricians and mentors to learn and gain valuable insights to become a qualified electrician. You will also undertake off-the-job, classroom-based and practical training and assessments.
Working as an apprentice Electrician you will learn about the selection, installation, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintenance of electrical wiring and control systems across a wide variety of environments.
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will receive a nationally recognised qualification UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and be issued with your Trade Certificate. You will also be eligible to make an application to obtain an Electrician's Licence.

About You
- Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills
- Reliable, flexible and honest.
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Hold a Valid 'C' Class Drivers Licence and own reliable transport
- A positive attitude - you will learn the skills and gain experience
- Must be eligible to work in Australia (Australian citizen or permanent resident)
- Minimum C grade in Year 10 Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Strong commitment to safe work practices, policies and procedures
- Completed a pre-apprenticeship (desirable) either Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) or Certificate II in Data and Voice Communication.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical exam, including a drug and alcohol screen
