Begin your journey with a Fibrous Plastering Apprenticeship!
This is your chance to dive into the plastering trade, working alongside seasoned pros to master the skills and techniques that make a top-notch qualified plasterer.
We are seeking motivated and reliable candidates to work alongside industry professionals, whilst gaining a Nationally Recognised Trade Qualification - Cert III in Wall and Ceiling Lining (Fibrous Plastering).
As a plastering apprentice, your role may include:
- Measuring, Installing and fixing plasterboard on walls and ceilings.
- Reading and interpreting plans to execute tasks accurately.
- Planning plasterboard layout, incorporating insulation and vapour barriers.
- Attaching pre-cast plaster fittings such as cornices, ceiling centres, and more.
- Expertly covering joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds.
- Mixing and applying plaster, cement, and render using trowels for uniform coats.
- Applying and finishing specialised materials like acoustic, insulating, and fireproofing compounds.
- Set coats and render, texture coats to straight and curved surfaces, install precast and decorative mouldings and restore and renovate solid plasterwork.
Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:
- A genuine passion for learning the ins and outs of plastering.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Physically fit for lifting, positioning, and hands-on work.
- Team Player with a willingness to learn and communicate with co-workers.
- Basic Math Skills: Necessary for measurements and calculations.
- An understanding of WHS.
- Must hold a Construction White Card or able to obtain at short notice.
- Hold a current Australian Drivers License & have own reliable transport.
