The Opportunity -
Novaskill is currently partnered with GCJ Glass & Aluminium to offer a Glazier Apprenticeship, including on-the-job training with ongoing mentoring and support to help you start building your career.
We're looking for those looking to start their career!
You'll be completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Glass and Glazing whilst gaining experience & developing relationships in the Warehousing Industry.
Learnings -
- Create products for commercial and residential applications
- Install glass in windows, glass doors and screens
- Examine drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine project specifications
- Select the appropriate materials for commercial and residential projects
- Safely handle and store glass and glazing materials
- Work safely and provide first aid
- Fit products in residential and commercial settings
Outcomes –
- A nationally recognised qualification at Certificate III level
- Eligibility to apply for a glazing contractor or minor trades licence
- Skills and knowledge to start your own sole trader business
- First Aid certification (from unit HLTAID011)
- Work Safely at Heights competency (from unit CPCCCM2012)
- Strong pathways to continue your studies and enhance your career opportunities
