We currently have an amazing opportunity for an HSC school leaver looking to kick start their career as an Apprentice Mechanical Engineer Fitter Technician to join our busy service and repairs department in our Brisbane Branch in Northgate. This role will provide a fantastic development opportunity for the appropriate candidate and allow them to play an integral part in the Maintenance, Service/Repair, Test/Tag and Calibration of portable Hydraulic Tools/Equipment and a significant range of specialised Industrial Equipment used by our extensive client base.
Together we are looking for a person that demonstrates a passion and drive to work in the hydraulic industry, is reliable, motivated, hardworking and most importantly committed to completing a 4-year apprenticeship.
The ideal candidate will be employed full time whilst working alongside qualified trades team and will attend TAFE where you will learn theory and practical areas to gain a Certificate III Engineering – Mechanical Trade and be a qualified tradesperson at the completion of your apprenticeship.

Candidate Requirements:
- Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or New Zealand citizen
- A passion for discovery and technical understanding
- Reliable and honest work ethic
- Willing to commit to the 48-month apprenticeship including study
- Successfully pass a pre-employment medical
- Have a current Drivers Licence
- Be prepared to undertake work assignments supporting the Company’s activities across numerous customer or company work sites in Western Australia or across Australia. Whilst this position will be based at our Brisbane Branch, there will be the need to travel up to 12 weeks per year based on our business requirements.
