This is a great opportunity to commence a long and rewarding career as an Apprentice Landscaper with a highly regarded Landscape business and will involve learning all aspects of Landscaping Construction, whilst also studying a nationally recognised qualification.
You will receive excellent training and mentoring throughout this 4 Year Apprenticeship studying Certificate III in Landscape Construction with one-to-one support.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Reliable team player with great work ethic
- The ability to work independently and unsupervised when required
- The ability to take and follow instructions
- Have a keen eye for detail and show pride in your work
- Have a can-do attitude and the ability to adapt to situations and problem solve
- Punctual and motivated with excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task under pressure
- Be personable and respectful, with a high level of communication skills and a friendly disposition
- Have a good level of fitness and strength
- Current driver's license and vehicle to travel independently to job sites is essential as you will be required to get to and from site independently
- Certificate II in Horticulture or Certificate II in Building and Construction (highly regarded!)
- A valid white card
The Role:
- Commercial landscaping and maintenance
- Turf, concrete and paving preparation
- Retaining walls and paving
- Planting & irrigation
- Reading drawings
- Assist the unit in providing a customer focused service and efficient operation.
- Work within Occupational Health and Safety Regulations/Codes of Practice and use all necessary safety equipment and safe work practices
- Adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to this position.
- Carry out other duties as deemed reasonable and appropriate to the role as directed from time to time
What to expect:
You will be required to work a 38-hour week (including TAFE training) with a monthly rostered day off
