St Ives has produced more than 10.5 million ounces of gold, with the first major gold mining expedition commencing in the mid-1980s.
St Ives Gold Mine operates mainly on a residential basis, with employees either living in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie.

Role Details:
Reporting to the Coordinator: Mechanical, you will be responsible for gaining and developing the required skills to successfully complete the requirements of an apprenticeship in a Boilermaker trade.

This role is offered on 5 days on and 2 days off, 4 days on 3 days off roster and would require the incumbent to be residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie.

About the role:
- Maintain a high level of health, safety and environmental awareness and comply with all relevant policies and procedures
- Develop individual capacity to qualify as a tradesperson by undertaking all aspects of formal and informal training that is aligned to the Apprenticeship training plan outline and site requirements as directed by site training personnel.
- Applying underpinning knowledge and skills gained through the apprentice training program to enhance the reliability, serviceability and availability of site equipment and infrastructure relevant to your trade.
- Ensuring a safe work environment by maintaining your work area in a clean, tidy and hazard free state.
- Using the site safety management system to report all hazards and incidents.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the maintenance team by providing support and assistance as directed.
About you:
- Completion of schooling to Year 10 or equivalent
- Sound communication and computer literacy skills
- Manual Drivers License
- Successful completion of an Apprenticeship Pathways Practical Aptitude Assessment
- A genuine interest and general understanding of the Boilermaker trade
- Successful completion of a Certificate II in Engineering would be highly regarded
