This exciting opportunity as an Apprentice Refrigeration Mechanic will be based at our Margate Processing site. During your apprenticeship, you will see and learn the intricacies of our Huonville, Dover, and Margate processing plants, with occasional travel to our Strahan and Triabunna sites. As part of our team, you will be learning from and supporting our experienced maintenance officers.
The successful applicant will have a diverse and exciting range of duties from small water chillers and ice machines to large ammonia plants with blast freezers. While completing your apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to support our maintenance team to respond to breakdowns, diagnose and repair equipment and service and maintain equipment in a positive and proactive manner to ensure the site functions efficiently.
This is not your ordinary apprentice role and will appeal to those who have a passion for wanting to work on world-class, innovative machinery while constantly learning and problem-solving.
About you:
- Mechanically minded, with excellent investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable with a positive and collaborative attitude.
- Able to complete Certificate III in Air-conditioning and Refrigeration.
- Possess a current driver’s licence.
