About the Role:
The APS 4 Payments Officer is a team membership position that will work within defined parameters relating to their area of responsibility.
It will apply policy, principles, practices and procedures to achieve outcomes that support and contribute to the client's business objectives.
The position will provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge and may undertake some research and analysis activities.
The APS 4 Payments Officer will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve straightforward to moderately complex enquiries.
Duties:
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment enquiries.
Process manual payments for a variety of stakeholders.
Work to resolve payment issues, guided by legislation, policies and standards, and Payments Branch Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Contribute to decision-making within the team/work area.
Consistently meet team and individual work resolution targets. Maintain an awareness of Government decision-making processes, guidelines and regulations.
