The Australian Air Force Cadets Aviation Quality Management System is a vital enabler for the delivery of safe and efficient cadet aviation activities. The Knowledge Management Officer is an essential position within aviation quality management cell. This position reports to the EL1 Aviation Quality Manager and plays a key role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of the aviation quality management system, Knowledge Management framework and digital repositories. You will maintain a strong focus on achieving aviation quality objectives, best practice and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Management of mailbox, digital repositories and registers;
- Maintaining an understanding of Defence and Civil Aviation Safety Regulations and the Australian Air Force Cadets mission and quality policy requirements;
- Assist with management of aviation orders, instructions and publications and management of the cadet aviation assurance program; and
- Liaison and engagement with the Australian Air Force Cadets volunteer workforce.
The Aviation Quality Management team is embedded in Cadet Branch – Air Force Aviation Operations cell which is a small professional integrated team comprising a mix of APS and ADF members. We are a flexible, multi-skilled and disciplined group focused on providing aviation operational support to the AAFC. We maintain an integrated, friendly and supportive work environment. We work closely and collaboratively with the AAFC to enable the effective and efficient delivery of the Cadet Aviation Program.
