Aps 5 Project Officer

Our client, a Federal Agency, is looking for an APS 5 Project Officer to join their team. As an APS 5 Project Officer you will be accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex work. Legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents guide the position.

You will be working full time hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm in Geelong with a competitive pay rate.

As an APS 5 Project Officer you will:
Liaise with Agency business areas to ensure participants have appropriate supports in place within health or justice settings, and when transitioning into communities.
Assist to address challenges or delays in access or planning decisions, ensuring timely and safe transitions back into the community
Provide guidance and advice regarding NDIS processes and procedures.
Support potential participants in hospital or justice settings to access the NDIS.
Develop initiatives to build networks across the health or justice sector, raising awareness and representing the NDIA at networking and cross-agency forums.
Providing clear and regular communications to promote understanding of the NDIS to external stakeholders in health or justice settings.

Key skills required:
Writing briefing and research documents and report suitable for government and senior executives
Researching and analysing data (qualitative and quantitative) to develop understanding of systemic concerns of participants
Organising and supporting meetings with internal and external stakeholders (such as scheduling, minute taking, recording of actions, and meeting follow up)
Good organisational skills to keep track of workflow
