- Utilise Activity Based Costing skills to contribute to the healthcare system
About the Company:Our client is an independent federal government agency established as part of the National Health Reform, the focus of the agency is to ensure that all Australians have fair access to transparent, sustainable, and high-quality health and aged care.Due to growth within the agency a newly created position has become vacant, and we are looking for a technical analyst to join the Acute Care Classification section, working with a multidisciplinary team or backgrounds ranging from clinical, classifications, actuarial, and statistics. Your role will be to work with the team, review all activities, and cost data and other related information to assist with making a difference to health care in Australia.The key responsibilities undertaken in this role will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing input to the technical development of drug classifications.
- Undertaking comprehensive data analysis within a hospital activity and cost environment.
- Prepare analytic working papers and technical documentation to communicate various classification and technical issues to key stakeholders.
- Interpreting clinical perspectives within an analytical landscape
- Providing specialist advise to all sections and stakeholder on matters relating to drug classifications systems
The ideal candidate will be an Australian citizen and has the following skills and experiences:
- Relevant Qualification in actuarial, mathematics, statistics, econometrics, or computer science will be advantageous.
- Experience in mathematical or statistical analysis and model development with a high attention to detail
- Data analytics experience using statistical software (SAS, R or Python is desirable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience working in hospital or healthcare sector will be highly regarded!
