The Role
Joint Command and Control Systems Program Office (JC2SPO) is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist. Tactical Data Link’s (TDL’s) underpin the integration of the Joint Force and are vital for ADF Operations as they connect sensors and weapon systems. JC2SPO supports implementation of TDL functionality through the provision of specialist Engineering Advice and Test and Evaluation services.
As a Senior TDL Tester, you will work within a blended APS, Military and Industry team responsible for conformance and interoperability testing of ADF TDL systems. Under broad direction, the Senior TDL Tester will take a role in the identification, planning, scheduling, conduct, analysis and reporting of TDL test activities, which may involve a considerable level of stakeholder engagement to set expectations and deliver the test service.

About JC2 SPO - The Joint Command and Control Systems Program Office (JC2 SPO) is responsible for the acquisition, integration and sustainment of command, and control warfare systems for the Australian Defence Force across the country and in operational theatres overseas.
These capabilities include computer applications that support planning and conduct of operations, including IT infrastructure and command and control systems for deployed military forces across the five Domains. JC2 SPO acquires and sustains joint-information warfare capabilities that are mission critical to all three services of the Australian Defence Force.

The ideal candidate will:

• Provide extensive knowledge of the test and evaluation methodology, systems and procedures.
• Have a good understanding of System Engineering disciplines.
• Provide clear consistent communication and setting clear performance and behavioural standards.
• Be accountable for exercising assigned technical authorities and any Technical Regulatory Authority delegations.
• Provide, or lead a team to provide, high level specialist critical complex to very complex technical activities, finance, commercial, information management, quality management, risk and advice to Director JDNS, DJC2 SPO, Project and Product Directors/Managers, and SPO staff.
• Build effective relationships and negotiate outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
