The Role
The APS 6Platform Manager for the Air Combat and Electronic Attack Systems Program Office (ACEASPO) Product Management Unit is identified as a critical function directly supporting the Product Manager of the Air Combat and Electronic Attack (ACEA) capability. Their primary responsibility is to support the delivery and sustainment of the F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler weapons systems in accordance with CASG and regulatory requirements. The role will be required to undertake requirements oversight for the ACEA Support Contract, including Governance and Assurance tasks, Resource Management, Performance Management and apply strong interpersonal and communications skills.
As the Platform Manager, you will be required to translate, apply and implement the administrative, operational, contract management, technical and resource requirements for complex product management activities. You will be required to maintain a high level of in-person interaction and engagement with stakeholders and be proactive in identifying product requirements and efficiencies with limited guidance, whilst working autonomously towards team outcomes.
International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) is the United States regulation that controls the manufacture, sale and distribution of defence and space-related articles and services. The ITAR contains a list of “restricted” countries that are unable to access ITAR controlled information, and therefore we will need to know if an applicant holds dual citizenship to one of the restricted countries to ensure they meet the requirement to perform the role (and we do not breach any ITAR requirements).
About our Team
The Air Combat and Electronic Attack Systems Program Office (ACEASPO) delivers through-life support for the Air Combat and Electronic Attack (ACEA) capability. The Product Management Unit is one of five management units within ACEASPO that is responsible for the planning and delivery of the Air Combat and Electronic Attack (ACEA) capability, including Fundamental Input to Capability (FIC) delivery and coordination of some FIC elements.
The Product Management Unit within AEASPO is an ‘enabler’ of Defence capability, providing In Service Sustainment support to Air Combat and Electronic Attack products for Defence customers. ACEASPO supports career development through a comprehensive professional development program, encouraging employees to build both leadership and technical skills and harnesses continuous improvement ideas and innovations. ACEASPO is based at RAAF Amberley in Ipswich, Queensland, with a small liaison office detachment in the USA.

They will be expected to be proactive in identifying product requirements and efficiencies with limited guidance, whilst working autonomously towards team outcomes.
