Duties
- Manage Secretariat, event, record keeping, maintenance of registers and ICT services for the professional organisation and delivery of one or more governance committees or consultative forums;
- Support planning and administration for Ministerial travel and International events;
- Liaise with program areas and other key stakeholders, both internal and external to DVA, as well as international, regarding inputs to and outcomes from governance meetings, Ministerial travel and the international engagement strategy and associated activities;
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to support productive working relationships, and build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as the ability to work across teams to deliver projects and events in short timeframes, during peak periods;
- Research and analyse information and data to assist with the preparation of DVA’s international engagement strategy;
- Prepare Minutes, written correspondence, reports, briefings, budgets, New Policy Proposals and other material, as required
- Communicate, educate and provide advice to staff regarding DVA’s governance, consultative frameworks, work of the Commissions or international activities, as appropriate to role;
- Oversee coordination and financial management responsibilities (including payment of invoices) for the Section;
- Managing the implementation of operational processes and procedures for increased business efficiency;
- Undertake proactive continuous improvement and learning and development; and
- Other duties as determined to support business operations outcomes.

This recruitment process is being used to fill an ongoing and/or Non-ongoing position(s).
Where a non-ongoing position is offered, the role will be filled for an initial specified term of up to 12 months.
A merit pool of suitable applicants may be created which may be used to fill future ongoing and non-ongoing vacancies should they become available over the next 18 months.
Successful applicants engaged into the APS will be subject to a probation period.
