APS4 Payments Officer

Our client is currently seeking an APS4 Payments Officer to join the team within a Federal Government Agency based in the Adelaide CBD.

The Payments Branch provides support and guidance to providers delivering funded services to participants. It is responsible for investigating and resolving outstanding payment requests that have been rejected through the myplace provider and participant portals. The branch processes manual payments to providers and self-managed participants.
 
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

• Investigating and resolving outstanding payment requests that have been rejected through the myplace provider and participant portals.
• Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment enquiries.
• Processing manual payments to providers and self-managed participants.
• Working to resolve payment issues, guided by legislation, policies and standards, and Payments Branch Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Contribute to decision-making within the team/work area.
• Consistently meeting team and individual work resolution targets.
• Ensuring knowledge of and compliance with legislative, financial, and administrative frameworks.
• Maintaining an awareness of government decision-making processes, Agency guidelines and regulations. 

National training for the Payments Officer position will commence Monday, 15th April 2024.
 
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: 

• Proven work experience in a similar role
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a varied fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
• Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
• An understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability is highly desirable.  

This role is at the APS4 level equivalent offering $44.00 per hour + super. The rate of pay is casually loaded, as you will not be accruing annual or sick leave.
