Job description

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (the Commission) was formed on 1 January 2019. The role of the Commission is to protect and enhance the safety, health, wellbeing and quality of life of people receiving aged care. 

The Commission is the national end-to-end regulator of aged care services and the primary point of contact for consumers and providers in relation to quality and safety. Our vision is to support a world-class aged care system driven by empowered consumers who enjoy the best possible quality of life. 

We aim to build confidence and trust in aged care, empower consumers, promote best practice service provision, promote quality standards and hold providers to account for their performance against the expected standards of care. We seek to promote an aged care system that develops safer systems of care, inculcates a culture of safety and quality, and learns from mistakes, while providing the oversight that can assure the community that aged care services are operating as they should, including working on continuous improvement.

Position Description 

The Aged Quality Safety and Commission is seeking the services of a proven technically skilled Integration Developer to deliver services and support in system integration. This role will span the entire delivery process from requirements analysis and design to testing, full production deployment, and ongoing Business as Usual (BAU) support.  

The Integration Developer will be required to work collaboratively with all areas in the ICT, staff in other areas and external parties. The successful applicant will need to work well in a geographically dispersed team environment as well as autonomously, apply initiative and possess strong client service skills and technical competency.   

A basic understanding of ITIL and industry best practices in cyber safety is important as well as ICT technical skills. 

Position Duties 

  • Contribute to integration solutions planning, collaborating with relevant application experts and providing input to solution design. Engage with risk in a positive and transparent way in order to achieve Commission’s strategic objectives.  
  • Analyse business processes and requirements, apply initiatives and contribute to improve integration solutions.  
  • Establish and monitor connections between cross-functional applications utilizing Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) capabilities  
  • Design and develop data integration workflows between platforms  
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including System designs, Knowledge base, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and other documentation relating to the operation and governance of integration solutions  
  • Support in testing activities, including integration testing, end-to-end (business process) testing  
  • Investigate, analyse and research incidents/problems by delivering accurate and timely advice and solutions  
  • Work with vendor(s) to resolve issues. Follow up with vendor(s) and escalate support requested as necessary  

Position Eligibility Requirements 

  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in application integration solutions 
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with quality, efficiency and accountability 
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and ability to influence and interact in an effective way and communicate information coherently and concisely to audiences with a range of backgrounds 
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality work to tight timeframes. 
  • Eligibility for baseline level security clearance. 

Desirable Requirements 

  • Experience in developing integration service on Workato platform 
  • Experience working within project management frameworks 
  • ICT qualification and certifications 

Position Notes  

Salary offered will be between $79,854 and $86,359 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.
