The Role:
Our client provides strategic financial advice and support to the department, the offices of the minister and to industry stakeholders. The division delivers on business objectives by partnering with the department, providing high quality customer service, advice and support and a nationally consistent approach to business, with consideration to the government’s fiscal environment, its significant reform agenda, and the department’s imperative to maintain financial sustainability.
Typical responsibilities within an external budget role will include:
- Assisting with the development and costing of NPPs
- Assisting with the development of PBS and PAES
- Preparing forward estimates
- Working with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Providing technical advice on complex and sensitive matters concerning ministerial correspondence
Permanent transfers via s26 are preferred, but our clients are also open to non-ongoing and/or labour hire arrangements.
Your Skills and Experience:
You must be an Australian Citizen and have experience of working within an external budgets area previously in the Australian Federal Government to be considered at the APS5 or APS6 levels. You must be able to demonstrate competency with CBMS and a solid understanding of the Federal Government budget process.
