The Role
Our client is seeking an APS6 Actuary detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. The successful candidate may be required to coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Extracting, cleansing and preparing of data from multiple sources, in particular the data warehouse, and advising on appropriate data checks for reasonableness.
- Updating and development of regular performance monitoring.
- Supporting the division to fulfil statutory requirements
- Utilising statistical and mathematical modelling techniques to undertake analytical work on a range of tasks
Skills and Experience
- Advanced R programming skills including data manipulation, package development etc.
- Understanding of modelling techniques including GLMs, GBMs
- Proficient SQL / SAS programming
- Must possess relevant academic qualifications including tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies or Mathematics/Statistics, progressing towards Associate and/or Fellowship qualifications.
