APS6 Campaign Officer

The Department:
You’ll be joining a medium size Government department who provide expert advice to all Government departments.
  
  
The Role:
You’ll be joining a medium size Department, standing up a new campaign function in the strategic communications branch. APS6 will support the EL1 and EL2 with managing the end to end advertising campaign process.
  
These positions are available via temporary S26 transfer for up to 12 months. No permanent transfers can be considered at this stage. Non-ongoing engagements are also considered.
  
  
Role Responsibilities:

• Leading a communication project including a paid campaign element (likely social media, digital, print advertising) with minimal direction
• Writing, editing and coordinating departmental and ministerial correspondence, media releases and speeches to a professional standard and within set timeframes
• Writing and editing a broad range of communication materials, drawing information from a range of sources
• Managing media and partnerships
• Navigate the Government advertising approvals process including writing campaign submissions
• Manage project timelines and budgets
• Managing a project team of one to two staff

  
  
Your Skills and Experience:
To be considered for this role you must have a strong understanding of Government communications and advertising campaigns, including media buying, contact management, procurement and supplier management.
