APS6 Campaigns Officer

6-month non-ongoing Senior Communications role within the Federal Government. Baseline clearance desirable

Your new company

Join a small and engaging team within the Communication and Relations branch in a government department centrally located in Canberra. You will be working together to develop high-level written and visual content for both internal and external communications.

Your new role

Your storytelling ideas and ability to think outside the box will enable you to produce impactful written content for a range of audiences. You will bring your prior experience of government-based campaigns to strategically plan communication campaigns of small and medium size and produce all campaign products. You will be managing a range of differing prioritise as well as liaising with key stakeholders to ensure your campaigns are delivered on time.

Additional responsibilities will include:

• Developing and executing communication strategies for both internal and external engagement
• Develop internal and external marketing materials for the website, social media and newsletters
• Undertake editorial services and content creation on behalf of the department
• Evaluate and improve communication activities using data analytics
• Support the wider team as needed

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing communications strategies for internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent written skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated understanding of a communications account management approach
• Willingness to work collaboratively both within the team and with stakeholders
