The Financial Statements Audit Service Group conducts annual financial statement audits of Australian government agencies and plays a crucial role in improving the standards of financial management and administration across the public sector.

The key duties of the position include
As a Team Leader, Financial Audit in our Financial Statement Audit Services Group (FSASG), your role will be to:
• lead and manage a small team to deliver low/medium risk audit services.
• conduct financial statement audits on complex and higher risk audit services.
• liaise with stakeholders across the Australian Government sector and represent the ANAO.
• help maintain and enhance client agency relationships.
• plan audits and design audit strategies.
• manage budgets and work allocations.
• discuss findings with client agencies and prepare reports that are credible and evidence-based and reflect sound judgement.
• supervise a team, reviewing performance and providing feedback.
• mentor, coach, and train staff.
