The Opportunity
We are offering a non-ongoing 12-month contract with potential for permanency, as this is a vacant position. Temporary or permanent Section 26 transfer will be considered for existing APS employees.
Joining a supportive and dynamic team, you will work closely with a Director and Assistant Director to advance your career within the APS.
The team handles Financial Operations, accounts payable and receivable, treasury management, travel, and corporate card management.
Flexible working arrangements are available for successful candidates.
The Role
As the APS6 Financial Operations Team Leader, your key duties will include:
- Processing financial transactions, including AP, AR invoices, payment runs, and receipting
- Managing the credit card function, including applications, queries, and maintaining a ledger of non-compliance matters for executive reports
- Preparing and approving end-of-month processes, including reconciliations, journals, and reports
- Responding to queries related to travel, corporate cards, AP, and AR
- Leading a small team of Financial Operations professionals
The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts operations and team management, with prior experience in travel and corporate card management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Proficiency in TechnologyOne is preferred but not required, along with demonstrated experience in using financial systems.
Applicants must be Australian citizens and possess an existing Baseline clearance.
Salary / Rate
$91K - $109K + 15.4% super
