The Opportunity

This is an opportunity for a Financial Operations Supervisor/Leader to join the Finance and Strategy Group, helping the team move forward in a period of transformation.  Led by a forward-thinking CFO, they continue to attract a team of high performing problem solvers.  The long-term strategy is to continually move towards an enabling environment where manual processes are streamlined, and data is used to drive smart business decisions as well as implementing a new corporate services delivery model which has resulted in a wide range of opportunities. 
 
This is a greenfield opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Financial Operations Team Leader overseeing a team of 5 people.  You will be responsible for leading the accounts payable and accounts receivable function ensuring they are efficient and effective.  You will play a crucial role in optimising Financial Operations, driving process improvements, and fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration within the team.  This also extends to collaborating with internal managers as well as external clients. 
 
The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage transactional processing of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Bank Reconciliations
  • Managing the team to ensure all support requests are responded to in a timely and customer-centric manner
  • Ensuring all required bank transactions are posted and reconciled, including investigating, and resolving any issues
  • Supporting the reconciliation of associated balance sheet accounts to subsidiary ledgers and supporting documentation
  • Manages the finance Source to Pay and Order to Cash end-to-end process and is responsible for driving process improvements
  • Ensure invoices, expenses and payments are accurate and meet deadlines
  • Perform financial and operational analysis to support and challenge business decisions
  • Ensure completion of the month-end close and prepare financial reporting requirements by Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Bank Reconciliation teams
  • Assist in preparing documents for and assisting in information gathering requirements for audits 
The Ideal Person

Whilst having strong experience in Financial Operations is critical, you will be naturally curious and keen to understand how the business works so that you can contribute towards ongoing process and systems improvements. 

You are an achievement driven people person who enjoys leading and coaching a high performing team towards key business outcomes and metrics.  A natural affinity to systems is important as Icon Water have a range of evolving systems.
 
Salary / Rate

The salary band starts at $112,116 + 15% Super.
