I am partnered with a Federal Government Agency in the heart of Geelong to recruit an APS6 Grants Officer for a 12-month, full-time temporary assignment with the potential to extend.
Your new role
As an APS6 Grants Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting business areas to undertake grant activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing complex grants policy advice in alignment with relevant policies and legislation.
- Offering business partnering support across business areas involved in grants.
- Maintaining the grants template suite, ensuring adherence to compliance and procedures.
- Preparing grants reports and briefing materials for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Contributing to continuous improvement within the Grants function.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Extensive experience in grants administration or grants advice.
- Exposure to and understanding of the Commonwealth Grant Rules and Guidelines (highly desirable).
- High attention to detail and accuracy in busy environments.
- A collaborative and positive team player mindset, while also being able to work autonomously.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
