Join a team that is passionate about helping people gain employment. As a Tender and Grants Research Officer in our Research and Tenders Team, you will play a pivotal role in providing research support and
contributing to the collection, management, analysis and presentation of information and data required for the development of WISE’s tenders and Grants and other strategic projects.

This is a 12-month contract position tied into the upcoming DES tender.

In this role, you will:
  • Conduct research activities to support the Tender and Grants writing team on topics of relevance to the delivery of WISE supports and services.
  • Explore and analyse areas of potential opportunities for growth, development and diversification of WISE services.
  • Source and analyse relevant qualitative demographic, industry and business data and information to provide meaningful analysis and reporting to inform strategic decisions.
  • Research, collate and present information required from internal and external sources and organise resources required to complete project tasks.
  • Assist the Head of Research and Tenders in preparing, collating and submitting Tender and grant applications and other submissions according to requirements.
  • Provide information and support to members of the Research and Tender Team.
  • Assist in maintaining the Tender and Grants and research documentation system.
What will you bring to the role?
  • Tertiary-level qualification with well-developed qualitative research skills and the ability to analyse data, and interpret and present complex information.
  • Two years (minimum) experience in tenders/grant writing.
  • Highly developed planning, coordination, administration and time management skills.
  • Strong networking and negotiation skills.
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (advanced), database and BI platforms, and modern communication technologies with the ability to adapt to new software and technology.
  • Understanding of government-funded services programs (desirable).
  • Experience in the Community Sector (desirable).
  • Ability to multitask projects.
  • Commitment to privacy and confidentiality.
  • Flexibility in hours worked is required, and reasonable out-of-hours work will be required from time to time.
