I am partnered with a Federal Government Agency, in the heart of Geelong to recruit an APS6 Graphic Designer for a 12-month, full-time temporary assignment with the potential to extend. Your new role
The APS6 Graphic Designer is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work that is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents. The position is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the objectives. The APS6 Graphic Designer will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues. It is required to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a representational role on behalf of the business.
What you'll need to succeed
Leading the design team to develop and deliver high-quality, clear and accessible collateral that meets the needs of participants and other audiences and aligns with branding.
Managing a diverse range of design projects simultaneously, including monitoring and communicating progress effectively, identifying and managing risks by providing advice and recommendations, and managing team capacity, ensuring deliverables and deadlines are met.
Working with the Assistant Director of Brand and Design to support Agency brand consistency and maintain brand integrity.
Using data and insights, continually improving function and guidance throughout the design team.
Fostering creative consistencies and innovative content creation across a range of touchpoints, such as design, social media, engagement and online.
Providing guidance and mentoring team members, supporting their professional development and enhancing the team’s capability.
Managing and recording the use of imagery to support consent processes.
- Government experience is desired
- Australian Citizenship
