AddressThe APS6 Policy Officer will be responsible for leading work to improve the client experience with My Aged Care, including (but not limited to):
- supporting the development of new policy proposals and business cases to government;
- analysing and interpreting data and other sources of evidence to determine areas of focus and concern;
- developing hypotheses and recommended courses of action to the Executive in the form of briefs, minutes and verbal presentations;
- implementing solutions using a project management based approach;
- communicating with internal and external stakeholders; and
- the ability to hold and maintain a minimum of a Baseline security clearance.
The APS6 Policy Officer should be:
- experienced or interested in policy development with attention to detail and the ability to think strategically;
- a good communicator (both verbal and written) with the ability to convey complex issues simply and creatively;
- calm and able to thrive under pressure and competing deadlines;
- details and results oriented; and
- a good team player with the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
