The APS6 Governance Officer role is responsible for the provision of high level secretariat support to the organisation’s board and committees.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Providing logistic and secretariat support for meetings including booking accessible venues, organising travel and accommodation, coordinating catering, planning dinners, and undertaking other minor procurement as required.
- Assisting coordination of board and committee papers, including undertaking quality assurance and upload of documents to approved administration system (Diligent) to set timeframes.
- Maintaining accurate corporate records, including minutes, work plans, and various registers.
- Maintaining accurate records of financial expenditure.
- Managing high volume inbox and escalating complex enquiries or matters
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of governance policies, procedures and guidance documents.
- Developing and supporting internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Other administrative duties as directed.
- Secretariat and/or governance experience
- Ability to build strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication and liaison skills (written and verbal)
- Australian citizenship
