The OpportunityJoining the Media and Communications section will give you the security of a 12-month non-ongoing contract or s26 transfer permanently or temporarily. In this diverse role, you will develop and implement communications strategies for internal and external audiences, while supporting your teams to develop a range of materials including talking points, articles, blogs, website, and social media content.

- Develop and implement communications strategies while providing marketing and communications advice and support in line with the agency’s strategic and operational objectives.
- Produce high-quality, creative communications materials for use across a range of mediums and channels, including advertisements, speeches, talking points, factsheets, information kits, merchandise, collateral, presentations, and digital content.
- Provide communications advice and support in fast-paced and rapidly evolving crisis situations.
- Work with Agency, cross-government, and cross-jurisdictional stakeholders to deliver sensitive projects and new measures.
You will have a Degree or Diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing and/or experience at the equivalent APS6 level within state or federal government.
You will also have the following skills/capabilities:- High-quality communication skills, with strong writing, editing, and content creation skills
- Proven experience developing and implementing communication plans and strategies
- Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to anticipate and prioritise deadlines and timeframes
- 12-month non-ongoing contract or S26 permanent or temporary transfer
- APS6: $87,793 – $98,660 + 15.4% super
- Flexibility to work from home up to two days per week
- Location: Canberra or Brisbane
- You must hold a baseline security clearance, or have the ability to obtain
