The opportunity
Our client is a highly respected federal government organisation, who provides services and supports to thousands of individuals around Australia. They are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Assessment Officer to conduct governance, risk and compliance (GRC) activities in line with frameworks such as ISM, PSPF, and the ISO27000 series.

• 12 month initial contract
• Richmond or Geelong location, partial work from home
• Daily rate range up to $700 inc super

The Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Risk Assessment Officer to assist in establishing and operating a fast paced risk management capability for the Agency and its strategic partners in line with Australian Government Security Frameworks (ISM, PSPF) and associated legislation.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Provide subject matter expertise and leadership to a teams of APS and LHW
• Working with external vendors through providing risk-based advice for system owners throughout the design-build-operate lifecycle of information technology systems
• Application of relevant government standards including the Information Security Manual and Protective Security Policy Framework
• Development of security policies, processes and procedures
• Managing several projects and programs of work with internal and external stakeholders to implement the authority to operate policy and procedure
• Assemble and analyse a diverse collection of datasets for strategic reporting
• Develop, maintain and deliver cyber awareness material
• Contribute to the Divisional risk register and regular monitoring of risk treatments

About you
To succeed in this role you will need:

• Demonstrated experience in Cyber Security Governance, Risk & Compliance
• Must hold Australian Citizenship and be willing to undergo Security Vetting processes
• Knowledge of key Australian Government compliance frameworks including the ACSC’s ISM, AG’s PSPF and the ISO27000 series of frameworks
