Are you considering your next step in your Financial Career? Look no further! Our rapidly expanding Governance & Procurement team is seeking an Assistant Director - Financial Governance for our esteemed Federal Government client.

In collaboration with our legal and finance departments, our client offers vital support in a variety of areas including Procurement, Financial Delegations, Accountable Authority Instructions (AAIs), Financial Literacy, and Compliance Reporting.

With our dedicated team, we are determined to provide superior expertise and guidance to the Executive and business divisions, enabling them to successfully carry out their programs and activities. Duties:

• Provide advice on Financial Governance to ensure adherence to legislation;
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders;
• Monitor and address helpdesk inquiries;
• Investigate and report instances of non-compliance with finance laws;
• Coordinate reporting and prepare briefs, minutes, and documents.

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of Financial Governance and Management Frameworks, particularly within the public sector;
• Engage proactively with stakeholders to offer accurate and timely advice on Financial Policy and compliance;
• Analyse continuous improvement opportunities and process issues, effectively communicating advice;
• Manage competing priorities and adapt to changing deadlines within a fast-paced environment;
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain relationships.

 

Desirable Requirements:

• Strong experience in the private sector, more particularly in a Federal Government capacity;
• Experience as an APS
• A qualification in Commerce, Business and/or Science.
• A working knowledge of SAP.
