- Introduction Services – candidates put forward under this service must be currently employed within the Australian Public Service in order to facilitate a permanent transfer to the Department (also known as a Section 26). The position will be ongoing. Note the contract end date refers to when your organisation will be paid.
- Labour Hire Workers – candidates put forward under this arrangement will be engaged on a 12-month contract.
- Assist to deliver the department’s strategic approach to its property portfolio covering property lease acquisitions, management, and disposals.
- Assist to undertake property lease negotiations, acquisitions, and divestments.
- Assist in the development of leasing strategies to support asset management priorities and property efficiencies through reduction of footprint and/or lease savings.
- Prepare written submissions, briefs, reports, and other correspondence with stakeholders to support property-related decisions.
- Maintain leasing data to support management of the department’s property portfolio, ensuring contract compliance and optimization of the property portfolio.
- Undertake procurements required to support leasing, acquisitions, divestments, and property related activities.
- Work in collaboration with the department’s Property Service Provider in relation to leasing activities, including providing strategic leasing direction, monitoring critical dates performance, assessing commercial outcomes, providing accurate and timely leasing submissions, and achieving compliance with Commonwealth requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of robust frameworks, policies and guidelines owned by the Property and Security Branch.
- Provide strategic advice and assistance to the Senior Executives and stakeholders based on technical expertise in one or more role specific disciplines.
- Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders, internal and external, to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation.
- Contribute to the identification, development, and implementation of opportunities to improve business management practices and processes.
- Operate under limited direction, with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability.
- Exercise both initiative and judgment in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures.
- Provide accurate advice including anticipating problems and contributing to issues management.
