You will be joining a medium size, hardworking communications team in the centre of a busy and reputable Federal Government department. You will work closely with the EL1 Web and Production Manager to action requests from all parts of the agency across the web and digital space.
Your duties will include providing advice and managing the external and internal facing websites, as well as managing web publishing and content updates.
A large part of this role will include writing web copy and editing content from other writers in the Department, as well as analysing web statistics and audience trends.
Key duties will include:
- Assist with providing oversight of the internet and intranet sites
- Coordinate and schedule web publishing and content updates
- Support a connected and coordinated web, design and production service for the agency
- Support key relationships with business areas and the centralised technical web services team
- Support the implementation and evaluation of communication strategies to align with priorities
- Support the delivery of communication services for the agency – digital and print content, website content, design and production
Skills and Experience required:
To be considered for this position you must have the following experience:
- Experience with designing and managing Web Content on Drupalplatforms (essential experience)
- Experience and knowledge of developing content strategy, information architecture and navigation
- Experience writing for the web essential - you must understand web copy, analytics and trends
- Experience in user centred design, web standards and accessibility, and stakeholder market testing
Experience with the above in a Government setting (local, state or Federal Government) is preferred however private sector experience will be considered. Freelance experience is not suitable for this position.
