Utilise your physical fitness and keen eye for detail to undertake duties of General maintenance, equipment installation and feed delivery.
Located at our Macquarie Harbour Site a member of our On-Water Maintenance team, you will work closely with our Hobart based Control Room to undertake all routine maintenance on our Feed related equipment.
Macquarie Harbour is unique in that it is a mix of fresh and salt water making it the perfect location to grow Ocean Trout— a species that thrives in these conditions. Fish are grown across three separate leases to ensure year class separation.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Zone manager, this team is responsible for:
- General maintenance and setup of nets, pens, and mooring
- Ensuring cameras are in spread, winches are in good working order, reporting any predator activity
- Smolt intake, fish upsizes and conducting morality retrieval
- Participate in training and development activities
This role will be carried out on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster operating at the Macquarie Harbor site located near Strahan, Tasmania.

- Perform activities with a high degree of safety
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and contractors
- Are experienced in a similar position (desirable)
- Enjoy nutting out and resolving problems
- Demonstrated ability to work without direct supervision and in a small crew
ESSENTIAL LICENCES
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Coxswains Licence (desirable)
