About your new team
Join our passionate team and work to build landholder capacity to manage land responsibly and to improve biodiversity condition on their properties delivering the Naturally Unique action of the City of Gold Coast Council Plan. The team of four is made up of restoration specialists, botany experts and flora and fauna specialists. As the Team Leader Conservation Partnerships, you will provide strategic leadership and manage the team's workflow, projects and associated budgets.
About your new role
The Conservation Partnerships Team deliver landholder support programs including Land for Wildlife, Voluntary Conservation Agreements and the Nature Conservation Assistance Program. Core to the teams responsibility is providing expert land holder extension services to Gold Coast residents, and generate partnering opportunities across relevant sectors

What you bring to your new role
You are an individual that thrives in working within a team and can build strong working relationships with their teammates and support staff to achieve their goals and aspirations.
To be successful in the role ideally you will;
Hold a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Management/Resources, or an equivalent relevant to the position Have experience working in the environmental industry or an industry relevant to the position (e.g. Conservation Ecosystem Management) Maintain a culture of health and safety in accordance with the City’s High-Performance Principles Have experience successfully leading a team, and display exceptional leadership qualities Be a great communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders both inside and outside of Council Be a strong team player, who effectively collaborates with stakeholders and team members on the team’s work program Have experience in successfully managing the delivery of a work program with multiple conflicting priorities; ensuring program deliverables, deadlines and the completion of tasks and projects are met whilst achieving high quality outcomes Demonstrate high attention to detail with an ability to analyse issues and problem solve.
