TerraCulture Pty Ltd are Heritage Consultants looking for an experienced full-time Archaeological Planner, with an emphasis on digitising field drawings, to join our team. Our office is located in Northcote but we engage in projects across Victoria which may require travel and fieldwork.
Our company specialises in historical and Aboriginal archaeology. We are seeking someone with experience in some or all of the following:
- Digitising field records and plans using Adobe Illustrator or other Adobe programs (mandatory)
- Preparation of images and illustrations for reports
- Mapping
- Artefact photography
- Archaeological planning (especially in the context of 19th century historic sites)
- Photogrammetry
- Archival photography
This work would be largely autonomous and self-guided, although you would receive direction on which tasks are required for various projects.
Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in a relevant field and at least 2 years of industry experience.
- Experience working as an Archaeological Planner on historical excavations and construction sites.
- Familiarity with stone artefacts and 19th century historical collections.
- High competency in MS Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Ability to work independently.
- White card.
- Current driver’s licence.
