Our Client
Our client is a deeply rooted member of Melbourne's Architectural scene. With decades under their belt and a pathway laid out to further cement their legacy, this 30-person studio located on the eastern fringes of the CBD is looking to bring onboard an Architectural Technician.
  
Our client is diversified in their typologies, with expertise in education, multi-residential, aged-care, health, early learning, life sciences, sporting facilities and the occasional residential project. This studio is a breeding ground for careers, with average tenure of staff being over 5 years.

About the role
This role is a drafting role. Our client is looking for someone with a passion for drafting to be a part of their wider drafting team. This role will see someone work across our client’s project base and be a support to the wider business. This would be well suited to someone from a TAFE background wanting to move into an Architecture Studio.
  
Duties/Key responsibilities

• Preparing and producing accurate drawings across various stages of projects
• Collaborate with engineers, certifiers, and other team members to ensure the design meets project requirements and complies with building codes and regulations
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation and reports.
• Analysing and interpreting plans, building specifications, codes, and sites
• Creating technical drawings from architects' sketches and specifications using Revit  

Skills and experience

• A minimum of 3 years local post-graduate experience working in an Architectural Draftsperson/Technician role
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Revit as a strong Revit user
• Strong Communication skills
• An ability to work autonomously in a collaborative environment.
• An ability to priorities work
• A demonstrated understanding of the NCC
• Experience working on multi-residential
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
