The Role
Managing an Elgas business encompassing all aspects of day-to-day depot operations, transport, customer service, sales including distributor channels, profit growth and cost management will find you driving growth in the business across a variety of customer and market segments by identifying opportunities and creating strategies to improve volume and margin in creative and impactful ways.
Additional responsibilities in this role also include:
- Your focus will be managing and developing your team of employees and contractors to achieve business outcomes and drive a safety culture
- Further you ensure our customers receive LPG in a safe and timely manner from professional drivers using cost effective transport strategies whilst being responsible for ensuring our tanks, cylinders, vehicles, equipment and depots are safe to operate and maintained/replaced as required
- You will reconcile and account all stock, equipment and materials and prepare annual budgets and monthly performance reports
- Responsible for the day to day running of the branch including achievement of budgeted profit targets, managing customers, contractors, distributors / pricing/ inventory/ vehicles/ safety / and depot operations
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- You have experience in managing a team, preferably in a customer service environment
- Strong negotiation skills with proven performance to cost budgets
- Previous experience in contractor management, Logistics or Transport is desirable but not essential
- You are comfortable and proficient using the suite of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
