Job Overview
Airswift is currently in search of a seasoned Area Manager to join our client on an initial 12-month contract at one of their facilities in Perth CBD.

The primary focus will be on delivering a new and innovative greenfield mineral sand project for a key client.

Responsibilities
  • Manage Civil scopes from engineering to completion, including supply, design, and installation contract packages.
  • Ensure project success by managing scope, budget, and schedule, coordinating multidiscipline activities, and implementing change management.
  • Act as the main technical point of contact with clients, ensuring their expectations are met and projects adhere to design and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop project execution plans, manage commercial outcomes, and prioritize health and safety.
  • Oversee team performance, address any gaps, and ensure quality, timeliness, and safety.
  • Apply comprehensive project knowledge to ensure successful execution, including procurement and construction support.
  • Track design deliverables, quantities, cost, and schedule, using analytical skills to forecast trends and address issues.
  • Implement project controls, monitor progress, and develop action plans to address tasks and issues.
  • Understand project control reports and coordinate multi-office workshare execution.
  • Communicate effectively, lead proposal and report preparation, and present to staff and management.

Responsibilities
  • Possess a recognized engineering degree or equivalent qualification in the relevant field.
  • Eligible for Certified Practising Project Manager (CPPM) certification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to achieving excellent health and safety outcomes.
  • Experienced in managing EPCM projects throughout the execution phase, including detailed engineering, procurement coordination, and construction contract management.
  • Experienced in managing high-value purchase orders and contracts for civil project execution, from package formation to contract completion and closeout.
  • Has extensive years of experience, including relevant supervisory, project management, and technical experience, specifically in EPCM projects.
  • Demonstrates substantial technical, practical, and leadership experience in the relevant discipline, with proven package management skills on projects of similar scale.
  • Capable of making decisions and setting priorities for complex situations, considering cost and schedule impacts on the project.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint, with the ability to organize information effectively and adhere to prescribed formats and policies.
