The River Hotel of Margaret River, Western Australia boasts a stunning front bar, a fine dining restaurant, an open front courtyard, a private function space, and a rear beer garden. We provide our guests with exceptional dining experiences through our diverse and innovative offerings and warm hospitality. Our recent expansion has resulted in the addition of 100 extra seats.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving business success. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring excellent customer service, managing staff, optimizing profitability, and maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.
You will be responsible for:
§ Overseeing the daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service across all areas, including the front bar, the restaurant, courtyard, function space, and the beer garden.
§ Implement and maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and service.
§ Work with the Chefs to develop menus and organise special events.
§ Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
§ Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and support personnel.
§ Develop staff schedules and manage labour costs.
§ Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and professional development.
§ Ensure excellent customer service and address any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
§ Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements based on feedback.
§ Monitor financial performance, including budgets, sales, and expenses.
§ Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
§ Conduct regular inventory checks and manage stock levels efficiently.
§ Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns.
§ Organize events and special promotions to attract and retain customers.
§ Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the restaurant.
§ Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
§ At least 2 years of proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar role. A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field; alternatively, 3 years of additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a formal qualification.
